What’s Changing?
From 1st September 2024, you won’t be able to collect or spend Nectar points directly on the eBay website or app. Instead, you will need to shop through the Nectar website or app. Simply search for eBay on the Nectar platform, click through to the eBay website or app, and make your purchase as usual.
Key Dates to Remember
The last day to collect Nectar points directly on eBay is 31st August 2024. After that, starting from 1st September 2024, you’ll need to shop through Nectar to earn points on eBay purchases. While this change may seem significant, there is good news: you’ll earn 2 points for every £1 spent on eBay when shopping via Nectar, instead of the current 1 point per £1.
What About Existing Points and Vouchers?
All the points you’ve collected on eBay will stay safe and sound in your Nectar account. If you have converted your Nectar points into eBay vouchers, you can still use these vouchers until they expire. Each voucher is valid for 12 months from the date it was issued, so make sure to use them before they run out. If you prefer converting your Nectar points into eBay vouchers, you have until 31st August 2024 to do so. After this date, this option will no longer be available.
Additional Information
If you’re missing Nectar points for an eBay purchase, remember that points should be credited within 28 days of purchase. If they haven’t appeared, contact eBay customer service for issues related to eBay transactions, or Nectar customer service for issues with your Nectar account.
No action is required on your part at this point. Just ensure you start shopping through Nectar from 1st September 2024 to continue earning points.
